Eclectic Craftsman
In the heart of the Elmwood district we were given the opportunity to create a garden for a young family who wanted a modern take on a classic craftsman home.
We created a garden enclosure with a blue-black fence that became the backdrop for our green garden.
Simple yet sophisticated, our goal was to achieve a meditative and serene garden by using a palette of evergreen plantings that play with harmony and contrast in their leaf texture and varied shades of green. One arrives through a stunning copper/bronze gate accentuated by running bands of bluestone that are used throughout the garden.
A sunken teak hot tub sits privately amongst a grove of bamboo. There is a generous dining terrace and an outdoor fire pit.
