Engineered walls were used to create an elegant pool terrace for this formal estate garden on a steep site in Piedmont.
Adjacent to the pool, we designed an elegant dining patio with a meandering lawn leading to a lower garden. New pergolas are in keeping with the classical architecture of the home whose balustrade detailing was repeated for the pool area.
The landscape design included ensuring that all the home’s roof drainage was collected for a large engineered dissipation pit that cleverly masquerades as a dry creek bed.
